Andrew hosted a Gun Bay stand at Prowine Hong Kong in May 2023 – it was a huge success and we are delighted that we met with two importers who have ordered our wines so we look forward to a great future in this highly sought after market. Our Shiraz 2020 was short listed and selected in a blind tasting that featured 82 other wines from around the world!
CAETE, Changsha July 2023
Standard Bank, ICBC (a Chinese bank with 20% shareholding in Standard Bank) and Wesgro funded a hugely successful trip to China in late June 2023 to attend the 3rd China Africa Economic Trade Expo in Changsha, Hunan Province. My first trip to China is filled with great memories of the people, the food and beverage culture and the amazingly fast, efficient and vibrant lifestyle of the Chinese. Great business opportunities will come from this trip as the economy slowly recovers from the Covid lockdowns of 2022. We also had a B2B and wine tasting event in the beautiful city of Guangzhou to close out the trip. Nice to have the SA Amassador to China, His Excellency Siyabonga Cyprian Cwele, visit our stand and pose for a pic with our famous 2020 Shiraz! It was nice to meet you, Sir! Fantastic experience all round, and great to travel with 7 other SA wineries and a superb bunch of people. Thanks so much Standard Bank and Wesgro.
Prowine Shanghai November 2023
We are super excited to confirm our participation in Prowine Shanghai 8th to 10th November. Gun Bay will have a stand there and we hope to meet more importers and distributors to partner with us in expanding the global reach of our wines.
